Sid Motion Gallery is delighted to present a solo booth of new works by Morgan Wills at NADA Miami 2025. This presentation will mark Wills’ debut exhibition in the United States.

Wills’ new paintings are executed in oil on jute, the substrate emphasising the "objecthood" of the work and reinforcing the painting's status as physical spaces where subject and surface engage in a direct dialogue.

The imagery in the paintings is drawn from various sources: some works reference found photography, while others are painted from the artist’s memory and imagination. Much like dreamscapes or fragmented recollections, the personal and the universal often intermix with the fantastical and surreal.

This new group of paintings explores complex themes of memory, the relationships between people, and people and their environments, and the very process of image-making. The works consider the inherent uncertainty in memory and the required "leap of faith" of imagination, and, conversely, the uncertainty of imagination and the leap of faith required by memory.
